Hi Sandra,

The surnames of my ancestors in Canada were Hill and Galloway. My Hill ancestor immigrated from England. My Galloway ancestor was born in NY. I noted that a number of people seemed to cross back and forth from Ontario to St. Lawrence Co., NY.

I am not that familiar with researching in Canada. I have had some help from distant Hill and Galloway descendants.

I don't recognize the surnames you listed. Where did these people live?

My direct Hill ancestor immigrated to MN as did several of his siblings. What counties are you researching in MN?
The following are counties I am researching in MN: Blue Earth, Freeborn, Faribault, Kandiyohi, Swift and Stearns.

I am also researching in a numnber of counties in TN & MS.

I live in Winona, but not for that long and have no family here, my family didn't even live in MN but my husband's family lived elsewhere in Winona. Most of my research is in Illinois and east.
