There is a Waitman Frazier in 1860 Hawkins Co Tenn census--it has his year of birth as 1836 and living with an Elizabeth. Ancestry has him indexed as Waitman Grazier, but on the census it looks like an "F", not a "G". It is in…

Re: Charles Shaffer----hmmm. appears he died between 1900 and 1910 as Mollie is listed as a widow in 1910. So there is probably no death recorded. Obits would be your best best at this point.

Union county is on the border of Illinois---maybe he died in a hospital there? I find there is an index of Illinois deaths online, but can't tell if any of the Charles Shaffers that died there was yours.

They were probably married around 1832/33. Their children were: Samuel (born circa 1833), James (born circa 1837), Sarah (born circa 1840), Catherine (born circa 1841), William (born 1842), Henry (born 1845), and Harrison (born circa 1847).
