I haven't found any links between my Carter line and the Carter lines in Virginia. If there is a connection, it's back in England somewhere. My grandfather did look exactly like a picture in a history book of Robert "King" Carter, a big plantation owner in Virginia. I've wondered ever since about a family connection.

Hi Ken, I saw you are interested in Carter genealogy. I was wondering what Carter line you are researching. My immigrant ancestor is the Rev. Thomas Carter of Woburn.
