For what reason did you start genealogy research?
Curiosity about who my ancestors were. When I started, I had no information about any of them, not even their names. Now after 3 1/2 years, I have traced back to the 1600's for a lot of my ancestors, 1700's for most.
Right now my computer is getting fixed. I am using someone else's. I will get back with you when my tree is up and running again. Of course it is on a memory stick.
My Humbert line was also spelled Humberd. Amos Humbert and Mary Whitlock Humbert moved from Green County, Tennessee to Wayne County, Indiana about 1820, daughter, Mahola Humbert married Nathan Stonecipher (both born in Green Co., Tennessee in 1818) in Wayne County, first daughter, Sarah, married Thomas Holden in Wayne County, 1860, came to Essex County, Ontario with Holden family in 1862. Sarah was my 3rd great-grandmother.
