Hi Dave, One thing I am looking for is "Watts" coats of arms. I have one sent to me by my English cousins, but am always keen to see what everyone else has has.

HI Dave.
My Dad came out to South Africa after WWII. Our Watts family hails mainly from Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. we are the "Watts of Kislingbury". With the help of my "English" family I have managed to trace my line back to 1559. I am also researching the du Preez line (my Mom) and have been relatively successful with that as well. Pity there are not more of us Watts here, particularly from the UK. I am currently situated in Ramsgate KZN.
Take care
Regards Alan Watts

Yep, I'm award that many of the Arbuthnott's left their home in Scotland, dropped the last "t" in their name, and settled in Ireland. That is all apart of my storytelling as Frannie Arbuthnot. I have a pen and ink rendition of the castle like home that Samuel Arbuthnot was said to have lived before coming to America. No one, as far as I've know of, has been able to locate this home. Fortunately, not all of the Arbuthnott's left Scotland and Lord Arbuthnott still lives at the family estate there. Imagine having your family living in the same house for over 800 years!

Watts is not my original family name. My "watts" ancestors were from France, named Vauthrin, but (for reasons unknown) adopted the surname Watts upon arriving in the USA.

Thanks Dave - to be honest I just search everywhere for my Wadwell surname as it is so rare. Most of the others are comparitively (sometimes too) common. I am following particular ancestors and their descendants and go where ever the leads take me. Haven't as yet found any that lead to South Africa.

Thank you for adding me as a friend.
The Reids that I am looking for are Thomas Reid and Ann(nee Ferrier or Ferria) They were married in 1889 March 30 in Dundee. My grandmother Helen (Ferrier) Reid was born 1897 13th June in District of St. Clement in the Burgh of Dundee. In spite of all this infomation I can't find them anywhere, mainly due to the fact that so many have the same name.
Are any of your Reids from the same are or have same names? I think there may have been a sister Margaret but am not sure.
Happy searching.
