That would be wonderful! I know that her name was Harriet, and according to the death certificates of two of her children, her maiden name was Robinson. She was born in Delaware in 1837/38. But when I search the 1850 census for her, the closest result doesn't quite line up. All the info I have on her is here:

http://www.eorlingas.org/ancestry/getperson.php?personID=I958&tree=main

(The Harriet Robinson I found on the 1850 census is the daughter of Thomas H. Robinson and Sarah Welde, born c. 1840. I don't think this is "my" Harriet, but it could be.)

Aleta,
In answer to your question on Blain'es page, please see my blog: http://genealogyanddna.blogspot.com/. There is a very simple explanation there.

Good luck!

Best,
Doris

If both of your brothers have the same father as you, you only need to order one kit as they would have the same Y-DNA as your father. If your half-brother has the same mother as you, that's okay. If your full brother has the same mother as you, you could order the mtDNA on his kit and save money. Write me alicefairhurst@gmail.com

What company did you test with? If it is with Family Tree DNA, I can help you.

Hey! Nice to meet you. Let me know if I can ever look something up for you down here. I have a relative who was born in Delaware in 1837, and I've been unable to find her parents. Her name was Harriet Jane Robinson, and she married Robert Barton Dickson. They lived in Philadelphia.
