Hi, again. I misspelled William Parker Elder's middle name (left off the last "r").

Hello: Timothy Gallagher: I have been reading thru some of the comments left by Nancy Elder Peterson and from what she wrote that I am not descended from William Elder of Maryland. I believe that he was born in 1862; my grandfather was born in 1886 from the William Parke Elder line. But thank you for answering my post. Have fun at your reunion in 2011.

In our ELDER DNA project, that line has matching DNA for the

So that ELDER family is not related to the "WILLIAM ELDER of MARYLAND" Group.

On page 100: Robert W. is Listed under: Children of

My name is Roberta Baum. My maternal grandfather was Robert Washington Elder who married Mary Myrtle Thomas, their daughter, Freida, was my mother. My grandfather was born and raised in PA. He was an oil contractor and spent a lot of time in different states looking for oil. My grandmother was born and raised in WV. I know there are many lines of Elders so I don't know if we would be cousins; just trying to find the right line. Thanks.
Comment by Lilly Martin on September 12, 2009 at 1:08am
I am Lilly Martin, descendant of Sophia Elder Cambria Co PA, who married Jacob C. Luther. Their daughter Mary Elvira Josephine Luther, of Cambria Co PA, was my maternal great grandmother.
I am very interested in my Elder ancestry in PA and earlier in MD.
Best regards,
Lilly Martin

As Host of the ELDER DNA project, I like to participate in
any ELDER genealogy research, although my DNA line has
been found in "FRANKLIN COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA, and is
different than the "WILLIAM ELDER OF MARYLAND" line.
