My father, Corneluis Sylvester Bracken was the son of Alton Edward Bracken and his mother was Mary Estelle Stout I am trying to find more about my heritage,I do have have an old family tree and have found out that my line goes back to to Alice White and Corneluis Alton which makes my sister and myself part of the Cherokke Nation! Would love to hear from any one or groups I could join to find out more of my rich and interesting family!! Thank you Carol Currie (maiden name Carol Ann Currie)

You are the first person I have met that might be connected. Martha Ellen TAylor Stout was my gr grandmother She was married to William R. Stout born 1852. My aunt Jessie was the Stout that wrote a letter to the Muskogee ancestry society telling the family history. Someone there just sent me another copy of it which I have on my computor if you would like to read it. She tells a lot about the Stouts. Leaves a big question as to who her grandfather Toliver Taylor was. She says someone completely different that the many people on ancestry and for that fact the VA from the civil war says something different. But if this is his family I have a lot of pictures and other things. My aunt Jessie had a picture of Toliver in her house before she died but I have no idea who would have it now. It was a big painting and is probably in a restaurant or some such thing. I do have a picture of my great grandfather though. They are buried in a cemetary in Muskogee and I have pictures of that. My grandparents lived there married life in or near Muskogee also.

My gr grandmother moved to Muskogee sometime before 1887. She was married to Issac Allison Milligan and had three children my grandfather was Caleb Milligan who had a farm near Muskogee and even helped to build the Train Station that is now your historical society. He married Sallie Stout and they had 4 children my mother was Helen Milligan that tought at several schools in the area. I would lie to talk to people who are decended from these people or know about them. I would love to find some pictures and have many of all of them. Oh My grandmother Sallie Stout was decended from Martha Ellen Stout her sister Jessie Stout lived in Muskogee for over a hundred years and left an interesting story about the family. Thanl you

Sue, Linda and Nancy,

Are you girls having fun in Little Rock? I hope you didn't run amok (sp?)! You will have to tell us everything you learned when you get back.
Take care and have a safe trip back.

my grandmother was living there at one time with her brother after a lady showed up and said she was married to the same man as my grandmother (Essie Green Richards) (Paul Franklin Richards). They had been living in Wapanicka. Her brother was Westly Green. Looking for the Divorce papers. Year 1924-5
