Comment by Brian Kelly on February 8, 2013 at 11:00am Go to the set which no children. right click on the marriage information line and select remove the marriage link. That will remove the second marriage for the couple and leave only the one with the children.
Comment by Lewis Hartswick on February 8, 2013 at 9:48am Another problem: Discovered I have two "Family" pages with the same parents
(same RIN nos.) but one has children, the other none. Both parents are shown
as two marriages but same person. 2 questions: how to get rid of the one with
no children. second HOW did it happen (so I can avoid it again) ? :-)
The parents of both show only one entry for the individual so that isn't the
source.
Help! :-)

Comment by Brian Kelly on February 2, 2013 at 12:22pm Look in Help for File Extensions, that lists all the extensions used by Legacy for various files.
Comment by Lewis Hartswick on February 2, 2013 at 11:58am Question abt file types: I just noticed in the Data folder some file types that I don't
remember seeing before. After the main file name ~PPL.PPL and ~RGD.RGD.
One of the trees has both and two other trees have one, one of each.
Are these some new thing and what are they?
Thanks.

Comment by Brian Kelly on January 9, 2013 at 9:23pm Re your comment below. Legacy does NOT put your web pages online, it only creates the files and stores them on your machine. To publish the pages online you have to transfer those files to a web server. There are many options from free services such as Rootsweb to a paid service through many Internet service providers.
If you decide not to upload those web page files you will find them in the C:\Legacy\Web\(Project name) folder on your hard drive.
"I have just put my tree on line through the legacy internet button.
Two problems: How do I delete living descendants? And secondly. How can the site be viewed on other computers?
And thirdly, if it can't be viewed how do I delete the page?"

Comment by Bob Rowe on December 16, 2012 at 7:47am Legacy Charting creates and opens lwc files.
If you use the Publish tab in Legacy Charting you can save your file as a PDF, BMP, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
Comment by Lewis Hartswick on December 16, 2012 at 7:31am What program is used to open a " .lwc " file?

Comment by Carolyn Winterburn on December 16, 2012 at 3:48am I have a question about saving a chart. I have a Father's chart that I want to save in my documents but it saves it as a *.lwc file which cannot be re-opened. Is there a way of saving it as a jpeg or another file that can be opened other than printing it out and then scanning it back in.
