In my database I have a large number of duplicate marriages.  Typically I have the persons names, a marriage date and a marriage location along with a source reference.  What I don't have with these marriage records is a birth, baptism or death date, which seem to be the required auto merge fields. Any suggestions how I might automate the merging of these duplicate marriage records??See More

I wonder if anyone could help with this problem.  I have downloaded all of the SSDI records for my family name "Gittens" into an excel spreadsheet and thereafter created a GEDCOM to import this data into legacy.  The gedcom import worked really well with one exception.  The SSN data did not import and the 2 NOTE record which follows the SSN attribute in the gedcom was not recognized by the import program.  Here is an example of my gecom for a single individual.0 @50001@ INDI1 NAME Charity…See More

I am trying to produce a list using Legacy's Search/find/Detailed Search function to create a listing of all persons with a specific surname (in this case the surname is BEST) who don't have any parents linked to them. Seems easy enough but I can't seem to accomplish it.  Could anyone suggest how this might be done?See More

I have tried multiple times to join the Legacy User Group.  I complete the registration process and get the e-mail confirming membership but I never get any e-mail from the group.  I have posted a couple of queries to the user group but I am not sure whether they ever got to the User Group. I had Legacy Support manually add me to the User Group but that did not work either.  Support told me they can't do anything more. Very confusing why I can't seem to register and join the group. See More
