My great-grandmother was Bertha Hall b.1873 in Norway.  Her parents were John and Ellen Hall.  The family migrated to Waseca County, MN between 1880 and 1882.  I was told that this is a very large family, and not all family members took the Hall name (some may be Johnson or Sickle) but I have not found any evidence to support that.  Other family names associated with this family are Bagne, Storlie, and possibly Paulson (Paulsdatter).  I am hoping to find someone else who is researching this family.

I am currently taking my first course in social media for genealogists, and I'm not a social media type of person.  So this whole thing has been new to me.  Me joining this Hall discussion group is as a result of an assignment for the course.  On the other hand, I am a member of a Hall family that I have followed back from Indiana to Kentucky and on to Virginia.  So this is a potentially valuable activity for me.  I'm not sure as to what to do at this point, but I've joined Genealogy Wise and I've joined the Hall discussion group!  I will sincerely make an honest effort not to waste anyone's time.  I'm a retired history teacher, and a genealogist for about 7 years.

Looking for information on the parents of Richard Hall born in 1791 or 1792.  It is assumed Richard was born in then Sussex County NJ.  He married Hester or Ester Huntsman and lived in Independence NJ.  He had several children, one of which is my great grandfather Samuel Hall who married Mary Jane Smith.  According to the census Richard was a farmer in Independence, NJ.  I've hit a brick wall.  Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated.  Thank you

I am looking for info on John Hall who married Susanna Lunt (Hunt) in 1766 in Georgetown, Maine.  They had at least one son John Hall who married Jane Oliver in Georgetown, Maine in the year1800.  This is the only info I have on them.  There is a rumor that they both came from the Marblehead area of Massachusetts.  Any and every bit of info anyone has would be much appreciated.

Note: I am a French in Alabama 1700's de Juzan descendant. There is an Indian side (not mine) Hall family on the Juzan and Trahan sides. I did not spell Trahan correctly. They originated in Canada, and are not mine. These Halls are of the Alabama/Miss. Choctaw side. My Juzans (but not mine) also had an Alabama Creek side also.
