I am researching Joseph G. Grisham who was born on 18 Nov 1795 in Pittsylvania Co.,VA. He married Nancy White (Overton) in 1820. She was born 1797 in NC. They moved to Smith Co.,TN in 1826. He died in Buffalo Valley, Putnam Co.,TN. She died in Putnam Co. in 1880. I have a copy of a fami ly tree that was given to my father & his siblings that said "Some ancestors say Joseph or his parents came from Ireland thru Overton Co. to Smith Co.,Tenn". They had 7 children. I have a family group sheet on each generation of the direct line of Grishams & another for each child filed behind the parent.

I am researching John Grisham and Lydia Hill married in Louisa County, VA pre-1800. Son Thompson Grisham. Moved to Estille County, KY @1805, where John Grisham died. Lydia and children moved to Shelby County, OH.

I am researching the GRESHAM family of Essex Co., VA. I am right now in the middle of researching Edward Gresham who died at Axolls/Exolls Swamp, VA.

He is a very interesting person as is his who family.

My family finally went from Patrick Co., VA to Pendleton District, SC.
John Gresham and Barbara Burdyne are my ancestors. There daughter Mary who married William Poor.
