My grandparents lived in Kemp, OK, but I believe they were married in Grayson County sometime between 1912 and 1917. They were Edgar Sampley and Minnie Killian. After Minnie's death. After Minnie's death, Edgar remarried in Grayson County in 1927. There was a courthouse fire in 1930 and Grayson County has neither record. The 1927 date is certain as I have a photocopy. Are any OLD (1895) birth records available anywhere? Looking for other info in 1880 forward also and don't seem to find much on the net. Is there someplace I can write. Also are people cataloguing gravesites there? hard to do research from afar... Brenda

Born: 28 Aug 1877 in GA Died: 13 Sept 1954 in Denison, Grayson, TX
Married: George Washington Mathewes 13 March 1899 in Grayson Co., TX
Per Death Certificate: Both are to be buried at Akers Chapel Cemetery. However, no information is found for them at the cemetery. Have contacted Waldo Funeral Home and they called the caretaker and his records only go back to 1960. Hoping the obituary will shed some light on the situation.
Searching for an obituary for my great-grandmother Amanda Elizabeth Clark She died 5 May 1949 in Grayson County Texas. She was living with her daughter Cora Evans at the time on 424 W. Cherry Street in Sherman, TX.
