Looking for anyone who are researching Gwinnell family from Glocestershire area. I was working with Lorna Vincent who has already posted on the subject - bur Lorna dissappeared a few years ago and has never been found - I'd like to continue the research already started.

A link: Hoare Family, Woolstaplers House

DNA tests show a relationship with a Hoare family of Cirencester, Gloucestershire , England (late 1700's), and Hezekiah Hoar (b. abt 1608 Sidmouth, Devonshire, England) of Taunton, Massachusetts, USA. I'm trying to figure out how they are related. It seems this Hoare family came from Cornwall and settled in Cirencester.  My Hoare family of Cirencester at Rootsweb  Any help appreciated. Joseph and MaryPaynter  were married in North Cerney 29 September 1818.  They raised their children in Ashton Keynes Parish in Wiltshire.  Joseph was a Cooper (barrel maker) who went to Owens Sound, Canada then obtained a contract to make barrels at Bruce Mines, Ontario, Canada, where he died.  His wife, children and granddaughter joined him at Bruce Mines.

My ancestors:  Joseph and Mary's  granddaughter, Dianna Paynter married John Rosevear , a miner from Luxulyan, Cornwall, England, 6 November 1856 at Chippawa, Michigan.  They lived in Ontonagon, Michigan; Gold HIll, Story, Nevada, and Kelton, Box Elder, Utah.

Looking for any information on the Pensom family. I have the marriage and burial cd's and it seems that all the Pensom family came from the Pensum name. Edwin Bellinger Pensom was born in St Mary, Cheltenham and arrived in Australia in 1853. I have lots of information when they lived in Australia but nothing from Gloustershire.

Looking for the birth about 1767 John Crouzet, of Westbury-upon-Trym at his marriage with Elizabeth Crisp on 16 Oct 1788 (Phillip & Jacob ch. of Bristol). John is a paper shop owner, but there is a gingerbread maker of the same name at the time.

Looking for the Bristol/Westbury-upon-Trym CROUZETs. Is there anyone available to take a photo at the Bristol City archives? Their fees are steep... :( John Crouzet 1819 Will is listed in their index. Merci!

I'm building a tree on Ancestry for my neighbour and his surname is Gwinnell -- I have worked the tree back to 1700's in Eastington,Gloucestershire -- he was born Bristol where some of the family moved too. Are there more researchers doing the Gwinnell family amongst others that they have married into?

Hi,
I am looking to link up with anyone researching ancestors of the Seyer family of Bristol and Gloucester, including descendants of the Rev Samuel Seyer, historian of Bristol and Rector of a parish in Westbury on Trym. Also the Engley family of London and Gloucester.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Ruth
