Sorry I copied and pasted from My Word file. I have complete stories about the history printed out but you can find alot online. Hore and Hoard were connected so you find alot about both families when you go on Hoard sites as well. I am almost to the of connecting us to Royalty, Once that happens I can go back even further. I got us very far back so maybe together we can reach that point of royal bloodline.

Ok You can find history on The founding of the Hore family of Rushford

Includes The Voyage to Devon

There is a Rushford Manor in Chagford

Richard le Hore were tin workers and business partners so when he married into the family The manor was there. Her dada was so rich he arranged his daughter to married Robert his son. They had a marriage settlement and the LE was taken away from the name and Thus Hore was left. Her father died but Robert got all the tinworks by 1377.

Our decendants continued to be tendants of rushford lands for serveal centeries.

Today Rushford Manor is called Rushford Barton and is owned By the Hayter-Haymes Family of London

I Called about that Manor and part of it burned down and was rebuilt and is now lilkly a museum or private estate.

More on Chagford 1954:
Is a little market town on the edge of Dartmoor set in a beautiful countryside.

History Of Hore Family Coat of Arms: Capt. Hoare Esquire had a book “Families of Hore and Hoare from 1350 to the Present” Pub in 1883 records an ancient legend “carried down by many branches of the family” He confirms we come from Robert Hore, a younger brother of Thomas or William Hore of the ancient Knightly Family of County Wexford, Ireland.

The younger son had come to Chagford to seek his fortune. In the minning Industry at Dartmoor. (It is known that the wexford branch had alywers to oversee some English Properties) Basically a Robert Hore either the father or son married an Heiress FFOrde
Establishing the Hores as a landed Cadet Family.
Basically We case from Wales and 1st invaded Ireland. Sir William le hor (1154-1189) was 1 of 50 knights who 1st invaded.

In the battle of Wexford 1170 Sir William le hor was appointed Banner Bearer. The most important and dangerous position cause he was tehone that kept the troops in order. All the troops needed to see that banner to keep order. Upon winnign this battle he wa sgrante dextensive lands (horelands) which its still called that, and a coat of arms. It’s a charge painte don the Norman armys banner a simple eagle displayed.

Thomas le Hore in the 1618 Visitation of Wexford begins he was awarded circa 1306 the manor pole.

Once there we we all tinners.

Thanks Roz, I appreciate you sharing on James Wesley Hoard. I do have a great deal on this family. It's funny though I forgot all about that....it's my post it on that page telling the person that they have all the children by two different mothers, but only Emily was the mother of those children. I think Mary had one son, but he wasn't the ones listed. But thinks, it's good to go back and refresh my memory once in a while.
