Can any one shed any light on this , or any other Collins Drysdale connection ?

''Two Internet surname forums indicated a connection between a Collins and a Drysdale. One source indicated a Martha Drysdale married James Collins on January 14, 1850, while a second source indicated a Huey Drysdale, who was born in Kentucky and who moved to Indiana, married a Mandy J. Collins. Both sources appeared to make a connection to the Drysdale ancestors of Julia Ann Drysdale and possibly identify two other cousins or siblings of Julia Ann Drysdale. However, no marriage records for either couple have been found in Indiana or Kentucky.''

Hello to both Tj and Julia.  Sorry, I don't think I can help either of you unfortunately.  I have traced my Collins ancestry back to the early 1800's in Capel, Kent, England but don't know where they came from before that.  I'm not aware of any of them having emigrated, but would not rule the idea out completely as I have not traced all of the Collins lines to death or the present day.  I hope that you are able to fins what you are looking for eventually.  If I can help with any England census look-ups I'd be glad to.

I am researching William Collins (possibly William F. Collins) born 25 Dec 1844 in Ireland. The 1900 census states that he arrived in the US in 1848. About 1864, he married Ann Catherine Sagaser (1845-1936) and lived in Kittanning, Armstrong, Pennsylvania.  He died somewhere between 1900 and 1910.  They had a bunch of kids between 1865 and 1887:  Stephan, Robert, William, Thomas, Curtis, Ada, Elizabeth, Charles, James, Margaret and Hugh.  It's not that I'm not finding anything when I look, it's that I find several William Collins that could be him and I don't have enough facts to narrow it down to the correct one.  Thanks for any help.

Hello Collins Ancestors!

My Collins ancestors came from Ireland (not sure which part yet) and lived in London's East End from 1860s-1960s.  Irish Catholics who mainly worked on the docks and railways.  Anyone a descendant of a Daniel or James Collins in the area, maybe we are related!?  My tree in on ancestry.

Hello,
My maiden name is Collins. Most of my direct ancestors are from the Capel/Tudeley area in Kent, England. I'd be very interested if anybody out there has connections to this part of the family.
