My Tuxhorn uncle is quite famous in Kansas City with the aviation field. He invented the gear that makes airplane wheels turn before landing among other things. His name was Blaine Marvin Tuxhorn. Blaine led a terrible childhood with a very abusive father in Kansas and became such an inspiration in Kansas City.
In Vernon County, my grandmother, Bertha, was born and the Whitworths there are in my family. I am trying to concentrate on the Whitworths at this time. Any help in that area would be very much appreciated. Thank you

The marriage documents are online for Blaine, Marven and Melvin Tuxhorn on the Jackson County Public Records site
Thanks for this, I do have them. This is a new site for me. I am not sure how to work it. I have several emails in my inbox that says someone posted but when I come here, I cannot seem to find the right one. Any suggestions? I really love your site however. Linda
If it's a reply to a Discussion thread, the link should take you directly to the message. (Like the email I received for your message above)

If the email says that a "(name of person) left a comment" that message will be found in the General Comments section, which is below these discussions. Unfortunately, the link will only take you to the group, and not directly to the comment. Depending upon how old the comment is, you might need to click on the page numbers at the bottom and read the older comments.
Do you know where I could find Jackson County tax rolls for the 1860's ?
