I came across your post on GenealogyWise while exploring sites on R1a1a. I too am a Taylor and recently had my Dad submit his DNA in hopes of finding answers on our Taylor family. His DNA came back R1a1a M198. We're in Texas and have been since at least 1848. I can't connect to your Taylor's because we can't get past my great grandfather, John Franklin Taylor b. 1848 TX, but I found it interesting that our Taylor's share R1a1a. My Dad's results are on the Family Tree DNA site under Taylor and R1a1a. His name is Phillip Alvin Taylor. I'd love to compare our 2 DNA results to see if it leads anywhere.
Thanks Pat!! It's so cool to connect to someone actually tracing this line, as I have been plugging away at unscrambling it on my own. Also good to confirm the same connections. :o) Yes, I am interested in connecting with Heather and I will search for your Facebook group. Wow. This was my very first post in GenealogyWise and I am excited to see what other connections I will find!
Hello, Pat. If you are the daughter of Bob Taylor, Elmer's son, I was your dad's cousin. My dad was Dell Taylor, Elmer's brother. We stopped into Terre Haute in late August trying to find any Taylors from the family. We were directed to various Taylors but ran out of time to get to all of them. From the information given on your blog we are definitely from the same family line. I posted information which I thought was going to you but, being new on this site my entry ended up on it's own. I don't even know at this point how to get to it myself. It is under Thomas Arnold Taylor somewhere.
