I have two great great grandfathers, both in the Union, in the Civil War. Visit my website to view a newly developed Civil War page with links to rosters and other interesting Civil War sites: www.searchingforgrandfathers.com/links-to-civil-war-rosters.html

You are welcome. I had no idea what you where looking for. Some people have access to Ancestry and then hit brickwalls but we don't know until told. Yep, found it interesting that someone said something abt his eye. You may want to write to him and ask how he knows. May be a distant cousin or something. Maybe has copies of the war records.

And then confused with the Private's stone and it said he upgraded so maybe there where two of them with the same name?

If you need me to look at census for more names I can.

Best of luck to ya

Thanks Spirit...these are cousins of my GG Grandmother...the Gammon family was huge...some of them went to IN and on to IL where I'm sure I'll find more CW records...I found them all on FAG...thought it was interesting that Levi lost his eye at Gettysburg...I may ask for more help with this family...thanks so much! = )
