SCOTT, Thomas in VA and SCOTT, JOHN in Canada and probably MASS before early to mid 1700's.

Another Day Another Time, Chasing down a family line. Scott's that are beating out of time.

We are excited and confused. But we will take what we are given. We are now up to 4 perfect matches on the Scott line. How is yet to be determined. We suspect the VA Scott will fairly easily link in since we do not have all of Thomas Scott's data from him being in Pittsylvania Co. VA. Isaac are you a brother to John? It could easily be.

Now the Canadian line has created quite a stir. First thoughts say the link comes from the United Kingdom area.

Second thoughts say we need to learn more about both John Scott's and if they were from MASS. to start with in the America's.

One is rumor the other is totally unknown.

Since Pittsylvania Co. was created 7 years before Thomas shows up there. Yet children used that county as place of birth it leaves much unanswered questions. Thomas 's son John born 1761 died in KY 1843. I am told was second son so this line started somewhere even if right here but county area was another name.

Is there any other researchers out there doing SCOTT in VA in and around Pittsylvania County Virginia around 1770 to 1800 or there at?

Is there any SCOTT researchers doing Massachussett's research on Scott that may have lost kin south to Virginia?
One name to keep in mind is JOHN . Both lines use this name plus other same names some times.

Thomas has been projected to be born 1730 by other family researchers. When John Scott was born I am not sure but I did read lots of Canadian census data trying to determine potential birth and came up with about 1750's. ??

Conjecture there strictly.. SusiCP@cox.net
