Hi Jim, sorry, I don't think I have any Averys. My Comfort line married into the Eberhard family. They were all pretty much in Lehigh County, PA. I'll keep an eye out, though, and let you know if I find anything!

My main surname of interest in the Valley is Roush (originally Rausch). They were in Frederick & Shenandoah counties in the mid- and late-1700's. Surnames of spouses from the Valley include Zerkel/Zirkle, Fuchs (Fox), and Kelchner.

- My interest grew from talking with my grandmothers over the years, and my intrigue with putting the puzzle pieces together. Now I'm concentrating on utilizing the best methods to locate records, document and analyze findings, and pull it all together. I find myself increasingly fascinated by the stories of my ancestors and the histories of the places they lived.
