Linda Temple left a comment for Lauren"Depends on where your Temples came from in Scotland. There are quite a lot in the borders and Edinburgh areas. Mine are in Fife, but the original one (my husbands gt gt grandfather) came from Edinburgh, his father we think from Penicuik."

- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- My unusual maiden name Wadwell. I am doing a one name study on this surname. Once I got started the bug bit and it is now an obsession which has resulted in a 'tree' of 8,000 people with my husband and I's combined extended family and ancestors. When hit a brick wall backwards I go sideways and forward. This has often brought in a contact who can break down that brick wall.

- Hi Linda, You Might also consider South Africa as a possible destination for all of the above names that you are researching. Many came out as settlers, professional people and part of the military contingents stationed here at various times. Many of the military personnel married here and elected to stay or returned at the end of their service. Worth a consideration I would think.
