John A. Sullivan married Maude Jennings Rounsaville....both were widowed prior to their marriage.

Maude had more or less adopted Webbie Jennings after the death of her mother Maggie George Jennings (my great grandmother).

So the two girls were related and yet not.

Thanks for your help.

Joan....that is awesome. My contact email is raysextonjr at yahoo dot com.

I will respond from there with my physical addy.

Thanks so much.....

My mom will be ecstatic that a break-thru has been made on this. She is losing her sight and had to give up on this stuff.

Joan.....Thanks!

The two names......Webbie Cardin Jennings age 11. Her cousin, Daisy Sullivan age 16.

The accident was a drowning in the Arkansas River between Ft Smith & Van Buren according to my now long past Grandma. The girls drowned on 15 June 1925 and were found the following day. They were buried in a double grave somewhere around Moffett on the 17th of June 1925.

Thanks for any trouble you go to...

Joan....I am working on the family tree of course and one of the issues I am trying to resolve is the location of a double grave.

My grandmother Mildred Wilmuth Jennings McVay lost a younger sister in June 1925 to a drowning accident.

From all accounts, verbal, the two girls were buried in a double grave right around the Oklahoma line near Ft Smith. If you are in that area as it appears I would like to correspond a little to see if you can help me locate that grave.

Please let me know. I understand if this is not of interest to you.

thanks for your time
