Hi, my Shaws lived in Liverpool, England, mainly in the Toxteth area, in the early 19th century. Anyone researching this?

My Shaw's start at Dores, Inverness Scotland with the birth of my 2 x great grand uncle William (1811-?) and grandfather Alexander (1814-1883), both registered in Dores. Next I have is Alexander marrying a Jane Grant in Inverness in 1848. I wold love to know more about this family before 1848 other than births.

Hi there;
My Shaw family came originally from Ireland and Scotland.
However, my Grandmother who was a Butcher" was widowed only two years into her marriage to William Shaw of Belfast Ireland, in 1902
They were married in India, where William was posted with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. I have not been able to locate their marriage, nor what happened to her after 1902 when she left Belfast to work in England. Her name was Alice Eliza Shaw nee Butcher. born abt.1884 in Muswell Hill Middlesex England. does anybody recognize any of the information above?

Shaw of Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.

My Shaw family come from Ayrshire, mostly Kilwinning and Muirkirk.

Family members emmigrated to New Zealand, primarily on the "Viola", settling around Hawkes Bay and Wairoa.

My direct line (great grandfather) came across the "ditch" (Tasman sea) to the Wallsend / Plattsburgh area of New South Wales.

Some researchers claim that the family originally came from Kells in Galloway, which I have yet to prove.

Hello everyone!

My Shaws are originally from Charles Co., Maryland. They migrated to Virginia, then Ohio, with my branch settling in Scioto Co., Ohio.

Anyone related?
