William Buckman (1650-1716)

My 7 greats grandfather William Buckman, a native of Billinghurst, Sussex, England immigrated with William Penn on the Good Ship Welcome from England to Pennsylvania in 1682 when the colony was founded. This qualified me for membership in the WELCOME SOCIETY OF PENNSYLVANIA. His mother Joan Bagham, also on board, died in a smallpox epidemic on the ship and was buried at sea. My national number is 936.
