Comment by Carma-Lu Thompson on May 6, 2013 at 10:06pm Denise - try this website: http://diocesanarchivists.org/?page_id=20
it is for the association of Diosean Archivists. I have given you the contact page. They should be able to help you find the right archive.
Comment by Denise Damm on May 6, 2013 at 2:32pm Carma-Lu Do you know how I would get in touch with them? I couldn't find anything in my online search of the Diocese that told me where the Archives were. Thanks.
Comment by Carma-Lu Thompson on May 4, 2013 at 10:10pm Denise Damm - have you tried the Diocese Archivist society? They could probably tell you which archive the records would be held at.

Comment by Denise Damm on February 24, 2013 at 2:45pm I have a Schmidt family who lived in Paducah, Kentucky from the time of their marriage in 1852 until they can to California in 1874. When my great uncle did work on this family he sourced the birth information of the children as the "Catholic Records Center". Is anyone aware of this repository? I haven't been able to come up with anything close through internet searches or reference books. I would have expected the records to have been in a Diocese. Thanks.

Comment by M.J. on December 22, 2012 at 12:11pm I've been looking for the parents of my great-great grandfather, Nicholas Eastin, for years. He was born Feb 28/29, 1818/1820 nr Frankfort, Kentucky – died 24 May 1907 in Bardolph, Illinois. He married Sarah Todd b. 16 Dec 1820, Lexington, Kentucky — d. 5 Dec 1901, Bardolph, Illinois on 28 Sep 1838 in Kentucky. They had 12 children.
This GenForum post suggests his father was also named Nicholas - http://genforum.genealogy.com/eastin/messages/308.html
Another GenForum post gave me some of his sibling's names - http://genforum.com/eastin/messages/149.html
Any information about who Nicholas' parents were would be greatly appreciated.
Comment by Theresa Ann Resh on July 4, 2012 at 5:31pm Looking for information on "Moore" family in Kitts or Harlan Co. Kentucky. Matt and Winnie Moore were my Grandparents, information on them is scarce. I hear its due to all the flooding and lost records as to the reason its hard to get information on anyone from this area.
