Hello - Looking for an obituary for Peter M Lee who died in Coffeyville, Montgomery, Kansas. I have seen one that my mother had in her records and of course can not find it now. Wanting to verify death date to see if he died before or after his mother. My records show a death date of 15 Jan 1905. Or if I could locate a death certificate that would be even better. Thanks
I'm new to the Genealogy community - and I've got to say, there's a really steep learning curve, even for someone who enjoys learning. There's just so much out there - if I think about it all too much, I just feel overwhelmed. So, as with life, I'm trying to focus on just a few things for the moment...

And *this moment* I'm focusing on learning more information about Peter Deller - specifically, who his parents were, and if he had any brothers and sisters. What I know: he was born ca 1869 in Germany (Alsace-Lorraine, Germany, in one census), lived in Norristown (Philadelphia), PA, then Kane, McKean County, PA, then Coffeyville, Kansas, where he died in 1944 (we're assuming - since he was still living there in 1941). The census records indicate he was naturalized in 1891, and I've found an entry in the Norristown directory for him, so I suspect his papers were filed in eastern PA (but of course can't find them online). I have a picture of his grave, but my father-in-law took the picture, and didn't label it, so we don't know where it is. I know it's a long shot - but does anyone here recognize the cemetery from the background?

I'm limited to online sources until late December/early January (I'm out of the country), but I suspect I'll have to make a trip to the courthouse there to look for a death certificate since it doesn't appear to be online anywhere. I know I need time in a library to look for some of these things - but if anyone happens to know of this person - this family - I'd love to correspond.

His children were: Pauline, Jennie, Sophia, Mary, George, Marguerite, Charles Joseph (Charlie), Joseph, Josephine, & Theodore. All were born in Pennsylvania, except for Theodore, who was born in Kansas.

Blessings all!
