I used the insert link option on a blog post. The link is not showing when the post is published.

Not all of my tags are showing up on my main blog page and there's no option to view all tags.

Also, is HTML allowed?

Hi Eileen. I will check to see if html coding is allowed in the blogs. Which one of your blogs was having the problem with the tags, I'll go and take a look at it for you if that is ok.

Thanks
Gail
Eileen,

I noticed you've posted several more blogs since you asked this... So maybe you got it figured out, but if not, or in-case anyone else has similar questions... It looks like your "Cool facts from my tree" blog entry was posted shortly before you posted here; so I'm assuming that is the entry you were having trouble with.

The best way I've found for using the Insert Link button is to highlight the text you want to be a hyperlink first, then click the button, paste in your link and click OK. If you click the button with no text highlighted, paste in your link and click OK; you'll get something like this:

At this point you could type in your hyperlink text between the HTML "A" tags; but if you forget to, then when you post it and the page loads, it ignores the code because there is nothing there to display.

With the current Ning configurations, the main blog page and your personal blog page won't show the tags; but they should be visible when you are viewing the blog itself. If you do have enough tags to make it run more than a single line there will be a "More..." link at the end, and clicking it will display all the tags.

And yes, most HTML code works in any of the user boxes. So not only blogs, but forum discussions, photos, and videos, as-well-as the comment or reply boxes on any of these, and on user's pages too.

For anyone not familiar with using HTML code to format, I've got a tutorial on Basic Formatting and one on Advanced Formatting.
Cool Beans!!
