 Clan Johnstones  historical  accounts  are key to connecting the dots with Clan Douglas , and several mentions are made to Douglases  in the following 5 mb or less .PDF's broken down because of upload  limitations .

A point to be made here , Dryfesdale  is  brought up only as a place name , yet because the Johnstones do not bring up the surname-does not negate  the existence  of the  Drysdale family prior to the year 1503 .  These historical accounts are for the most part well detailed, and make my case in regards to the below link .
