I do have a couple of dates based on census records and his death certificate.
DOB: 5/16/1860
Parents: William H. Thomas & Sarah Jane Dick both born in Ohio. (according to his death certificate from Delaware county).
1920 census shows that he was living in Pickaway county with his wife, Minnie and his daughter, Sarah.

Yes, they are from Ohio. Not sure how many generations lived in Ohio, but my Great Grandfather lived in Ohio most all his life. His name was Edgar Alfonso Thomas, he married Minnie Hewitt Cardiff. They were in the Columbus & Westerville area.
