I have an ancestor who lived in Putnam and Hendricks counties in Indiana. His name was William Hedden, and his 100 acres spilled over into both counties. (This is near Filmore, Putnam, Indiana) William was born 1801 in Shelby Co., Kentucky, and died in Filmore, Putnam, IN in 1861. Here's my problem: We can't find where he is buried! His first wife was Rachel VanCleve, who died in 1846 in Filmore, and we know where she is buried. Then he married Mary Smythe. William died in 1861, but we can't find him on Findagrave.com, and he isn't on any cemetery lists. I believe he may be buried on his land. I have called every darn office in the two counties, and no one can tell me, because the land parcel has been broken up over the years, and belongs now to several people. I think William Hedden sold his land to an in-law. A Brewer, I believe. I anyone out there can help me with this brick wall, I'd sure appreciate it!
I am interested in finding out more about Stephen Gowin and his wife Nancy Shrewsbury Gowin. They are both in the Turner cemetery. Stephen had a second wife Eliza Debry. If anyone has any info I would love to share.

Thanks
Laura
