NOW If I can remember who came to PA chats and was researching this man. ?? Someone spent a lot of time digging for information on STACKHOUSES, I will ask other old forum attendees if they can remember whom it was.
That would be great if you could remember. A friend in the DAR gave me this Patriot's birth and death . He was born and died in Bucks county in 1845. I did the census for 1840 and found a John stackhouse, but his age was 30-40. This John would have been in his 80ty's Very strange. His son Josuha born there ,but died in Clinton , Ohio, but there was also a joshua in that census of 1840. I don't know which way to go now. Dianne
Susan talked to DAR rep. My patriot had two wives. The first was Patricia Bunting who is the mother of my Joshua Stackhouse she died about 1800. His second wife who is on all the FootNote documents {Anna Bowman} got his Widows pension. I have to find That connection with Patricia to John Stackhouse. Joshua's mother. I don't have a clue on how to achieve that..The DAR doesn't even have Patricia's name. Dianne
