Hi Lisa- Yes, my friends, Vern and Lorraine Rothenbuehler are buried in the Priest Cemetery. Frank Parsons who owned the Parsons Marina was a friend . Also Don and Gladys Karli who now live in Santa Maria. Wyane and Flossie Raynor now live in Missouri. He lives with his nephew, and she is in a nursing home with Alzheimers, and blind. Flossie is Lorraines sister.Vic Jones was a friend of ours too. We used to belong to the Priest River Yacht Club, which probably is no more. Do the Perrins still live across the river in our old place.?? Frank Parsons and his first wife Lila divorced before 1990. He married, divorced and married again before he died. Lila remarried and moved to someplace around Couer D'Ileane (?) spelled it wrong !!When we lived there, there was nothing around that lake. talk to u again, Nancy

Hi Lisa- I am on Geneology too. My husband and I used to have a summer place in Priest River, on the East side of the river (On the River) across from where the Raynors and the Rothenbuehlers lived. Next door to Scotty. The Perrins bought our place in 1983. I loved it up there, tho I only got to go there in the summertime for a short time. I was a building contractor back then here in California, Orange Co. and some L.A. Co. and Riverside Co. too. Retired now. Tired too. Lorraine Rothenbuehler was my best friend. Take care, Nancy ann Cole

Lisa,
Keep Digging!!! Genealogy is so rewarding as we reconstruct our family histories.
Most of my research was done the old fashion way using various state and national archive.sources. I am delighted to see how the internet bring various researchers together. As you know source documents proving relationships is key to successful genealogy. As an African American Researcher, it is necessary to research the genealogy of slave holding families and their slaves over several generations. I have been fortunate to have a rich oral history for my family which I have used as the roadmap for discovery.

Hey Lisa,
Sorry for getting back to you so late, thanks for the concern, I could use a few passenger records for my great-great grandfather. If you don't mind, whenever you get a spare moment if you could email them to me: Yankeesrule2587@aim.com
Thanks

Hi Lisa,
I am grand daughter of William Henry Lanier (1855-1929) who was son of Dr. Isaac Dickson Lanier (1830-1871) from Autaguaville, AL (Huntsville, AL). My grandfather's mother was slave nurse given to Isaac when he started studying as physician. I am looking for more black side of the Lanier family. Please let me know if you had come accross the black family fathered by Isaac or by his children.
He had sons, William Dickson, Clemont Tracy and Sydney D. Lanier.
Emiko Lanier of Atlanta, GA

Hi Lisa ...
I am doing real well on my Kaiser search. A really nice lady from Austin, Texas has helped me out a lot. She has been researching the same family, she had questions, and I was able to give her some answers. I'll be removing some of my search names, and adding new ones.
take care ...... donna

Dear Lisa,
I had seen the 1850 census. The spelling is off and if this is the family, what happened to Barbary and Elizabeth? The 1860 census shows the correct spelling for the last name with Eliz, the mother and children living with her are: John (age is two years off) and Margret. Louis is living next door with his wife Sophia and Henry is in the next county. Do you think that Margret is Elizabeth? The age is correct. Susan

Dear Lisa, Yes some of my cousins do have her listed as dying in 1885. The reason the second Daniel was not in any of the later census is because he died in Forsyth , Georgia in the Confederate hospital there. This another clue that he is a brother to this family because there is documentation that 3 Ballew Brother , Langston Green , John Jackson and Daniel all signed up for the Civil War on the same day in Springplace , the closes town to where they lived in Murray County. Dear Lisa,
Of course she died in 1886 and did you read the comment that I left for you on the Ancestry.Com page about the other Daniel and Harriett Ballew. The younger one is Daniel's son but he is one of my grandfathers also because his daughter Elizabeth Ballew married David Brooks who are the parents of my grandmother. My grandmother Flora Jane Brooks married Landrum Ballew . Landrum Ballew's father John Jackson and Elizabeth Ballew's father Daniel are brothers. The older Daniel Ballew and Mary Harriet Jackson are their parents. I will rectify my mistake on the Jackson board. TY Lisa.

Hi Lisa: My name is Linda. Recently you left a comment, I believe to a Mr. Mooney about a Patrick Brennan. My great grandfather was James Brennan, the son of James Brennan Senior and Julia Doughan . My James and Julia emmigrated from Ireland and ended up in a place called Sheenboro/Chapeau Quebec. I just came from there yesterday on what I call a Bones and Stones Tour and took photos of different Graves, I did take James Sr and Patrick. If you wish to email me at any time if these Brennans are yours, please let me know and I will be pleased to either send you the photos or if someone can show me how to post them here I can try that route too. Hope to hear from you soon.

Lisa,

Thanks for the work, but neither is my Patrick. This is what I know from Death Certificates and family papers. Patrick was born in NY in 1853 (per death certificate). He had a sister Margaret, one or two years younger. Patrick married a Margaret(Maggie) ? (from Caren Lehto based on pilot - Maggie's last name was Troy). Caren found a marriage record for Patrick's daughter Mae Ellen. Patrick and Maggie had several children in Iowa, Webster County, city of Clare: George Francis, James, Mae Ellen, Charles, and Lauretta (my wife's grandmother). From what we can tell, Maggie died right after one of the children was born. The next time I find Patrick is 1900 Census in Ward Co., North Dakota with his sons and Lauretta. Maggie is not found any time after. Lauretta is found married with my wife's grandfather, Clarence Berggren with her aunt Margaret Caufield (Patrick's sister) in later Census records. Lauretta married Clarence, had their only son in Wisconsin and then moved to Louisiana where the rest of Clarence's family was. This is all I have. I have been in contact with Lauretta's family from North Dakota and they have no information on Patrick's wife's maiden name. One cousin said she thought it was Mary Gannon but I can't find any documentation on that either.
Thanks,
Pete
