Andrew, Gale Gentile(nee Breadmore) left a message on Genealogywise about Murphy. Did you see it? Ignore this if you already know of her Breadmore connection.
I am so sorry to year of Margaret's death this week. We didn't have any ancestors in common (that we knew of!), but met through our shared interest in Wiltshire and it's wonderful tangle of old county families who have endlessly intermarried over hundreds of years. Margaret was an active member of several groups and was always keen to help and offer advice when fellow members had problems with their research. I know I am just one of very many folk who will miss her very much.
Hi Margaret,
I went to Berkshire Record office last week & picked up the Bershire Historian Magazine March issue. Your article was very interesting. Also i believe you know Val Storie who I see at the Slough Library meetings for Ancestry.
Now I am completely confused with my Elizabeth Whichello. She married my G G Grandfather. Now the census for 1881 states that she was born in Wootton Berks. But I can not find her at all. But a collegue of yours at the BFHS in Reading found me a birth of an Elizabeth born in Windsor. Could this be her ? Jill
My great great grandfather was Thomas Giddings b 1851, the only thing I know about his life in England was what it said on his marriage record dated 1975, that his father was the deceased Charles Giddings. Looking at the free BMD I find there are three Thomas Giddings born in 1851, two were from Davizes. When I sent for them, they told me that the information dod not match, but I had no other leads as to how to find my Thomas' birth record.

Dear Margaret,
Thank you for your welcome! I am delighted to join this group and will explain my interest. My father's family name was HUTCHINS, and I have traced their definite origins from Great Bedwin and Id.... near Porton. They then moved into Hampshire - Weyhill and Penton Mewsey.
Any clues about them will be gratefully received!
Yvonne
Good timing Margaret, I have been searching all morning on Find my past and found Jane was indeed Alexander. Thanks for the info, I'll look into that. No I don't belong to the european link. Didn't know there was one. Thanks again Lyn

My Halls family did come from Norfolk but originated in a small village called Roudham which is about 20 miles or so from Dereham.
