Have you ever looked at his Confederate papers to see what they may say about him? What were you looking for on heritage quest? I might be able to help you out there too.
Are you on Facebook by any chance? Just wondering

Heritage Quest you need to use your library card for a library that subcribes to it. Every once in the while you can access it thry cals without a card but the best way to get in it is as follows:
click on http://www.adapl.okpls.org/Internet.htm You will get a log in page: Put in P23955 and click on, proceed to Heritage Quest
Hope this works for you

hey Dianne
Honey I can pick you up a copy of his death record from the archives tomorrow. Not a problem and it wont have that written on it.
I can also look for that marriage record too.
What else are you going to need for this?

I may be able to help you out with the DAR patriot.
You have to go back to the different generations.
proving each one to the next generation to your patriot. Then you just have prove that they fought or gave aid in the war. just let me know if you need help

Hi Dianne!

My great-great grandmother was Mary Jane Bennett from Monongahelia (sp?) Co.,VA./WV. She married Peter Augustus Saurborn circa 1845.

Ask the clerk of courts or the Secretary of State's office; they will know where the records may now be found Paul
