Hi, Maggie,

My Stones went directly from Bristol, Connecticut, to Ashtabula County, Ohio.

My Ward's settled in Princess Anne County, Virginia in the 1600's.  I've not been able to go back any further and have no definitive information as to where my ancestor, Robert Ward, landed when he came to America. There seem to have been several Robert Ward's in that time period.  Presumably he originally came from England.

My Gallup's were from Currituck, North Carolina and my branch moved to Princess Anne County, Virginia folloowing the Civil War.  That is all I know of their origins.

Hi Maggie, Anne Coffelt here, thanks for your question about N.Y. Hagamans. The answer is yes, it seems a million of them. I'm hitting a bit of a brick wall going past T.C. Hagaman born 1820 in Canada, married to Mary Hilton also of Canada, son Thomas, daughter, Susie and Anna (Annie) my great grandmother. The Hagaman's I'm more closely related to seem to be from Rochester, Oswego, and N.J. and ending up in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I have more detailed info, who are your Hagaman's?

All best,

AHC

Maggie, I looked on findagrave.com and found woodlawn cemetary here in Ocala. They did not have a grave for a Cora Sabourin. I am going to contact the man in our genealogy society who does the cemetary documentation. If I can't get his e-address or phone #, I'll see him on the 17th at our meeting. I'll be off line for a number of days. Andrea

Maggie, Since I replied to your request for a photo of your ggrandmother's grave in Ocala, FL, that there was not a cemetary with that name, I've joined the county Genealogy Society. Did you try findagrave.com? They have many tombstones photographed & even newspaper obits for some. If you do not have success that way, write me again with the info. Our society has a man in charge of photographing and putting the info on findagrave along with the gps for the Ocala graves. He has many cemetaries completed. He may be able to help you. Our next meeting is June 17.

Hi Maggie, thanks for inquiring about what Sherman I looking for. I actually wrote the wrote name, it's Sargent that is in my family. Not an active name now, so I had to look back in my records to see who I was looking into and found my mistake.

maggie - I was in the chatroom last night when you popped in asking for an obit lookup. We didn't mean to ignore you, but we were doing a Paranormal Chat at that time. Paranormal runs from 10 pm eastern for an hour or so. Please join us if you have had any interesting experiences.

There is a Somers, Connecticut. It split off from Enfield in 1734 and it was a part of Massachusetts until 1749, so technically your people were born in Massachusetts. I don't know what records they have there, but you can call them to ask. The town clerk's number is (860) 763-8207.

I will Maggie, but it might be a while. I've been sick with a sinus infection. Plus, I'm new to Ocala, so I have to find out where this cemetery is.

What is your favor? I only got that your great-grandmother is buried in Ocala.
