The website also offers in-depth information on the history of Ellis Island and offers several tools for genealogists to use when researching their ancestors. I have found this site incredibly useful as I have several ancestors who came through Ellis Island. I had no idea they had actually come through Ellis Island, but when I found them I cannot describe the incredible feeling that came over me knowing that my ancestors had come to America through such a historical point.
