Who Were My Maternal Great Grandparents?

Moving over to the maternal side...

The parents of Joao Pacheco (aka John P. Smith) were Theodoro Pacheco and Maria de Braga. Theodoro was born in the town of Achada, Nordeste, Sao Miguel Island, Azores. He migrated with his mother and siblings to Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii in 1882 on the SS Hansa to work the sugar plantation.

Who Were My Paternal Great Grandparents?

Continuing up the family tree...May I introduce my Great Grandparents...



The parents of Jean Lassalle were Pierre Lassalle and Elizabeth Segalas. Pierre and Elizabeth were from Ogeu les bains, France. They lived their entire lives in Ogeu les bains.



The parents of Anna Madeleine Mazeres were Charles Mazeres dit Salanave and Brigitte Breilh. Charles was from Ogeu les bains, while Brigitte was from Castet, France. Charles came to San Francisco in the early 1890s. He was… Continue

Who Were My Grandparents?

My parents were both natives of Oakland, Alameda County, California. My Grandparents all met up in Oakland, but came from disparate roots.



My Dad's parents were Jean Lassalle and Anna Madeleine Mazeres.



Jean was born in 1888 in Ogeu les bains, France. He came to America to avoid conscription in France. He arrived at Ellis Island 9 Apr 1907 on the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria. He was going to San Francisco, California to see his cousin, R. Leclerge. I've yet to figure out who… Continue
