How I got into my Genealogy

As A child growing up and being the first grandson I was always told by my grandfather that "I was the most important Sheaffer" as it was up to me to carry the name on, and until I was 16 I was the only grandson. My grandfather always said he had no other Sheaffer cousins or at least those with the name Sheaffer. I live in New Jersey, but I was born in Enhaut, PA 1950,
my dad is Harry W Sheaffer, Jr born in Steelton, PA 1927
my Grand father Harry W Sheaffer, born in Enhaut, PA 1907 died 2002
My GGrand father was John William Sheaffer, born in Enhaut, PA 1875 died 1965 married Ida Moyer.
My GGGrand father was John B Sheaffer, born Cumberland County, PA 1849 died 1904 in Enhaut, PA - married Suzanna Thumma from Cumberland County
I went to Central Dauphin East HS 1968, I had a Steve and Jeffrey Sheaffer in that class also.
