Hi again Sue, I just found out that Tanneke's marriage to Arij was her 2nd marriage so that might make it more probably that she was a little older than Arij.

PS and ofcourse Arij and Maerten might not be related at all. The surname might just be a coincidence. However if they are brothers (or father and son) there's also the possibility that he's born in Ghent.

I am looking for my SW German ancestors who could have been among the "Foreign Protestants" that came in early 1700s to Luneberg Co Nova Scotia near Halifax.  They probably left NS in 1740 to go to Lancaster PA in the USA. My…

The chat went OK - 5 or 6 people there. No one from the Anabaptist Group. I thought at least they would be interested. 10 pm MT time is midnight here. The chat started at 9 eastern and lasted for an hour. I didn't get the comment below

Hi - Hopefully you can get to the chat tonight and fill in what I leave out. You obviously know more about the Cloisters than I do. But then the purpose of chats is to get others involved and into networking. I can't seem to locate my two books about Ephrata and most of this comes from the internet. I am just giving the basics.

Hi Michael. You must have left the chatroom just before I got there. I have been having internet problems tonight. I really hope you can get to my chat about the Ephrata Cloisters on Sunday and please feel free to add or correct anything. My interest in them stems from Michael Wohlfarth (Brother Agonius) who was there. He was also one of the Hermits of the Cocalico. Do youknow anything about them?
