What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
Principle UK,
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Advanced Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
I am no expert, but well read and have an extensive libary of Family History and Genealogy with a collection of UK Monthly magazines. I belong to The Essex Society for Family History and Weston-super-Mare Family History Society and th Society of Genealogists all UK.
If you are setting out as a newbie in UK I recommend contacting your local society, they are helpful, friendly and have access to much local knowledge.
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
Curiosity probably! I opened the front door back in the 1960's when a researcher from a firm of Genealogists CAV Smith working for a solicitor in London had traced us in connection with a relative that had died without leaving a will. This was long before the subject became poplar TV entertainment! We never benefitted but the seeds were sown and I have been learning ever since!
