This picture is of Marvin Carver in his cadet uniform, United States Naval Academy. He graduated in 1893. He resigned in 1895. He is apparently related to my G-G-Grandmother Corinna Carver Roe. I have been trying to find out more about him, his parents, place of birth, etc.

I found out more about Marvin Carver. He was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, April 28, 1871. His father was Washington I. Carver. Marvin was recommended for appointment by the Congressman from the 2nd Congressional District in Minnesota.
