My Switzer's (Schweitzer) lived in northern Kentucky (Lewis, Mason, Bracken and Robertson counties). The couple in the picture Anthony SWITZER (in the picture) supposedly hid on a ship that came to America sometime in the 1860's. He was naturalized in Kentucky and lived there the rest of his life. Some of his children moved to Indiana but I don't know much about them. There are other Schweitzer families in Bracken County, Kentucky that may have been the reason for Anthony's coming to the area but I've not found the connection so far. I've not found any Ohio connections outside of my direct family line to Anthony and Mary Jane.
