Happy Easter!  I am stuck on my Taylor line.  I have John Thomas Taylor (b. Rock Hill, SC, 1842) back to his marriage at Harmony Baptist Church, Chester County, SC, to Julia Nichols about 1869.  That's where I'm stuck - going farther back.  I have MUCH information from 1869 to present (we still live in the area he settled in the 1880s).

If you go the site , www.familytreedna.com/public/taylorfamilygenes you will see many family trees  from members who have taken a y dna test

A great way to brak through a brick wall is  to have a male TAYLOR participate by taking a y dna test . We have 400+ Taylors who have been tested – see https://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?code=Q83848&Group...  .

The Taylor line under which I fall dates back to 1644 with the death of Christopher Taylor in Skipton, Yorkshire. Christopher Jr who came over with Penn and while many of his family stayed in Pennsylvania, some moved to Maryland and the line we followed went to Ohio.

My Taylors descended from Jonathan Taylor who came over from England in the late 1690's with his two brothers Ephraim and Phineas. We seem to have remained in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire region ever since.

My Taylors lived for many generations in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. I would love to find others from that area.

My Taylor's came over from England to the coal mining country of SE Illinois (Collinsville specifically) and over the generations married into the Aldridge, Ainsworth, and Webb families. The apparent originators of the line in the new world are Samuel and Martha (Webb) Taylor, who immigrated from England (Hempstead?) somewhere around the middle 1800s. The next two generations were both Edwin Taylors.
Thanks!

My Taylors are all downunder in Aus But originally from England also.I am sure some would have connections way back as some went US and others came to Aus.
