Is there anyone out there with access to Ontario Canada records?  I'm
trying to locate ROWLAND HILL and family on the 1911 census.    He died
in St. Catharines in 1951 - but I can't find him on the census in St
Catharines

I'm also trying to locate death information on Sarah (Scholfield) SHAW who died in 1935 in Toronto - possibly York Twp, as I
have information leading me to believe that her husband Ralph Thomas
SHAW died in York on 16 Dec 1931 (no cemetery located yet).

Thanks a million for all your help.

Do you have some more identifying information on your Rowland Hill?
www.automatedgenealogy.com shows 7 from the 1911 census. There may be more -

Surname Givens Age Province District Subdistrict Enumeration
District # Page Line
Hill Rowland 73 Ontario Algoma East Carnarvon 13 2 42
Hill Rowland 44 Ontario London London 32 3 3
Hill Rowland 17 Ontario London London 32 3 5
Hill Rowland 28 Ontario Oxford South Ingersoll 30 10 42
Hill Rowland 56 Ontario Toronto Centre ward 3 21 25 8
Hill Rowland 46 Ontario Toronto West Toronto 144 3 47
Hill Rowland F. 21 Ontario Hamilton East Ward 8 19 4 44
Rowland was born 1869 in Linton, Cambridge, England. He was the son of George Hill and Sarah Cottage, and immigrated to Canada sometime between his marriage in 1906 at the parish church and 1910 when his son Stanley was born in St. Catharines.

He died April 16, 1951 and is buried in New Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines.

Thanks
Cheryl

Death Record for Ralph Thomas Shaw:
Estimated birth year - 17 Mar 1870, England

Prospect Cemetery has not yet been transcribed by the local branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. I believe it is last on their list because it is the oldest and largest cemetery in the area.

BLEsS YOU.

Cheryl
