Hi Georgie,

I can help you better if you could provide more information.

Have you found Andrew and Ann on any census reports and if so, when and where?

Where did Elizabeth marry Lorenzo Shepherd?

Where is Albia? What state and county? How did they end up there and when did they move there?

Andrew believed to have been born about 1803 in NC. Ann (last name believed to be Weatherly) born abt 1803
Daughter Elizabeth Weatherly Wilson born 1833 NC; Died 1902 Union Co.IA
Married Lorenzo Smith Shepherd between 1854 - 1856, May have taken place in Putnam Co, IN. first child Nancy born 1956
Lorenzo B: 1836 in Putnam Co., IN D: 1909 Albia, Monroe Co., Iowa.
Nancy Shepherd Clark Golden (my Great-Grandmother) was born in Monroe Co., IA and died in 1932 in Albia IA, and is buried in the Albia city cemetery. I hoped that since you have Wilson and Shepherd tags, you would be related as you picture looks enough like me and my sister to be related and you also look like my Aunt Wanda who's was also Nancy's Grandaughter.
Hi Georgie,

Actually it is funny you say we might be related. I added the "Shepherd" and "Wilson" tags to the message I posted about your Shepard and Wilson families. I don't have either of those surnames in my database. HOWEVER, my GODWIN family is from Randolph Co., NC and they moved to Putnam Co., IN about 1830.

I do not know what county your Wilson family might be from in NC because it is such a common name. However, I did see a couple of Andrew Wilsons in Guilford and Lincoln Counties, NC. I'm not sure when your Andrew left NC. I know he was in Putnam Co., IN in 1850 because he was enumerated there. Do you have that census record? If not, i can send to you. I also searched for "Weatherly" in NC and found most of them in Guilford Co., NC in 1840.
Guildford Co was full of Quakers during that time period. I have heard that many Quakers left NC to go to Clay and Putnam Co IN to set up new Quaker meeting houses. It is possible your Weatherly and Wilson families were Quakers.
