Elizabeth Mays was one of my great g. g. g. grandmother's on my maternal side. She married Stephen Bobbitt. I have not conducted any research on this line yet.

My Mays line is a direct line for me in my family. This is what I have on them so far. Ive have used this line to go into the DAR on too. Which I will point out in this post.
Pleasant Mays
Born 1797 Va
died after the 1880 census in Boone Co. WV
married 27 OCT 1823 in Halifax County, Virginia
parents unknown at the moment
wife Mary Clardy
born abt 1804 Halifax Co. VA
died 18 Aug 1876 in Boone County, West Virginia
Parents Thomas Clardy and Mary Henderson.
"Thomas Clardy is my Patriot"
The family first appears on the 1850 census living in Botetrout Co. VA.
In 1860 The family moved to Boone Co. WV where they stayed.

7. Pleasant Mays jr 1844 married Rhoda Estep
8 Catherine Mays 1847
9. Joseph Samuel Mays 1851 married Nancy Brown second wife Mary F. Coon.
