Morris Families from Boone, Owsley, Rockcastle, Christian, Clay, Kenton and Madison Counties

I am Researching my Morris Family, they came to Kentucky from Virginia about 1810, settled in Boone County, Ky and became members of the Bullitsburg Baptist Church, I am also Researching Lucas and Brockman from the same area.
I have had my Morris line tested for the Morris Surname DNA project and my line is connected to several different Morris lines from several Counties in Kentucky.
I would love to hear from anyone Researching Morris Families from the Counties listed or Lucas, Brockman or Acree from Boone County.
Thank You
Wendy

Hi Wendy,
While not in one of the counties listed, I am interested in finding the ancestors of a John Morris (1804-1875), who lived in Casey County Kentucky. He is one of my long time brick walls. He married Margaret (Peggy) Allen in 1824 in Casey County, Kentucky. The Allen Family is no problem but for years I have not found the ancestors of John Morris. I was intrigued by your comment of several different Morris lines from several counties in Kentucky. Thanks, Bob
Hi Bob,

So far I have not had any Morris links to Casey County but that does not mean there is not a connection. I am related to a line of Morris's from Louisa and Hanover County Virginia and 3 members of this Morris line married Allen's.

I would love to exchange info and see if there is a possible link? It would be even better if we could find a living Male Morris Decendant of your John and ask him to participate in the Morris Family DNA project. That would tell us if our lines are connected or which Morris Family your John may be related to? The participant would have to be a direct male morris from John, a son of a son etc...
