My great-grandparents divorced around 1885, either in Iowa or Missouri. Where could I go to find documentation on the divorce?

Martin V.B. PAGE and Sarah Elizabeth SWITZER PAGE were married on 25 Jan 1862 in Johnson Co., Iowa.

11 Jun 1880 per the US Census - Martin and Sara are shown as living together in Centro Township, Vernon, Missouri with 7 children.

15 Jun 1880 the US Census shows Sara living with her mother, Elizabeth Switzer in Liberty Township, Johnson, Iowa. Sara is listed as married and 3 of her children are with her. (Note that a J.P. Switzer took the census)

In the 1900 US Census, Sara E. PAGE is in Iowa City, Johnson, Iowa and is listed as Divorced, marriage year 1880, years married 20.

Martin is seen in the 1900 US Census as living in Fruita, Mesa, Colorado and is listed as married for 13 years to Mary H. (born Apr 1861 in Indiana). There are six children, the oldest being 11 yrs old and born in Missouri.

I totally agree with you about the 1925 Iowa State Census---if only the other states had such details!!

My father's family - Marvin - is very firmly ensconced in Iowa. He was born in Leon, Decatur Co, and they were there for at least 100 years. Also have ancestors in Guthrie Co (Wasson), Louisa Co, Muscatine Co - Marvin/Grimes, Scott Co - Marvin. Also in Decatur Co - Wasson, Ricks, Hawk, Loving.
