I am interested in finding a "History of Grant County". Also looking for a business known as the "strawboard" located in Marion, In.

Sharon, I recommend checking Google Books (http://books.google.com/) any time you are interested in a rare or out-of-print book. It is a wonderful resource. Sometimes you will find only a reference to the book or a limited preview, but sometimes you will find the entire book available online. In fact, there are several entries on Google Books for a book titled "History of Grant County", and most of them appear to reference essentially the same published work. One offers a "snippet preview" of the book, but none offers the entire work as far as I can see. But if you click on one of the individual entries for the book, you will find a link labeled "Buy". This is a bit misleading as it also takes you to another link labeled "Find in a library", which in turn will take you to a list of libraries that carry the book.
Thanks James for the info. I will definitely follow up on this.

I have a personal copy of The Heritage Collection, History and Biography from Unigraphic 1886, History of Grant County Indiana. I think I bought it through eBay. Is there something I can look up for you?
Sorry I whiffed that, it wasn't eBay. I bought it through either Alibris.com or Abebooks.com. They specialize in Rare and out of print books. Sorry about that. The book is not indexed and I did a quick search for "strawboard" but I would need more information. I would also recommend checking with the Marion Public Library. They have a very helpful staff in the genealogy room.
Thank you for the info Victoria. The "strawboard" was a company that my uncles worked for in Marion, Indiana. I looked up strawboard and it is a construction material, so I presume it is a product something like what we now call plasterboard or gypsum board. Mother told me that was supposed to be a good job for the men to have. I will check out the sources you recommend.
